A Fuller Figured Fashion Week Experience

On the Plus Side:

On The Plus Side: A Fuller Figured Fashion Week Experience is a web-based mini documentary project from the mind of Sarah Conley. She will be attending New York Fashion Week as a member of Coutorture's editorial team, spending most of her time inside the tents at Bryant Park. From September 3 - 12, she will be documenting her experiences as a fuller figured woman attending one of the world's most fashionable events right here on StyleITOnline.com.

This is such a neat project. You can see chapter one of the documentary here. I'm really looking forward to watching the next installments! Thank you to Carla for the link.

Fun linky links

I really should be out running errands but it's cooooold (whine, whine). Let's check out some fun links instead!

Watch Isaac
I'm in love with Isaac Mizrahi. He doesn't design plus size clothes (boo) but I still think he's funny, smart and adorable. His website is launching February 1st but there are some videos up now. His talk shows were hilarious and I'm sure he'll bring that to his new website.

Big Girl Cosmetics
I've never tried their products but I like the name!

Sex and the City Movie Blog
I'm excited! Are you excited? I don't even care if the movie is any good, I'm just excited that they're making it.

And just out of my own curiosity, did you watch How To Look Good Naked last night? What did you think? People were talking about it on a whole bunch of blogs, so I'm curious to know your reaction. Leave a comment!

Fatshionista

If you're on LiveJournal (and really, who isn't?) you should really check out Fatshionista. It's a wonderful community of vibrant, engaging women and the discussions go well beyond just chatting about clothes.

Big Fat Carnival

Note to self and also to you out there: make time to read the other Big Fat Carnival entries. Of course, I chose to submit the silliest post possible but there is a lesson to be learned, especially since it's almost skirt weather!

So lovely

I'm not really one for sitting around and getting in touch with my inner Goddess but! Whenever I'm feeling a little down about my body, or not even really MY body, just the current standard of beauty, I head over to the Judgement of Paris. I love this site because it's a classy, non-degrading celebration of beautiful, curvy, plus size women (and because there are lots of pretty pictures). It's the only site of its kind that I know of, really. The forums are excellent as well. Keep this one in your bookmarks for a little body-esteem pick me up :)

Hey, that's me!

Show me the Data

I've been meaning to link to this site. Show me the Data: "SMTD is a private association of research-oriented consumers and professionals who are working within the "Health at Any Size" model. We promote responsible and accurately-reported research on weight-related issues, and "scientific literacy" and critical thinking skills for the public." Link via Big Fat Blog!

big fat blog!!

Oh my God!! Paul at Big Fat Blog linked this site! You've no idea the amount of respect I have for that site and it's so, so cool to be linked! Excuse me while I go do my dance of joy. Which reminds me, I need to make a list of size-acceptance sites.
