So yeah, I kind of suck at keeping up with this blog, right? I've just been dealing with a lot of stuff, mostly health issues. I may or may not be narcoleptic, so that's fun. I'm not sure if I think I am but I do know that it's nearly impossible to get through a day without a nap. But I'm not the type to fall asleep randomly while sitting up or anything so if I am narcoleptic, it's mild. Either way, being tired a lot makes it hard to be motivated to do much of anything other than the critical stuff.
I really do want to write here more so I think I'll commit to writing 3 short posts a week until I get back into a groove. To get things started, here are some pics of my dog on Halloween. Yay!

Sorry you're having trouble. :(

Your pup is the cutest! Love a dog in a costume. Hope you get your health stuff in order--that can be so troubling.
Welcome back! I've been reading your blog for years. Nice to see you again. :)

Yay! for being alive.
I hope there's something the docs can do to help with the narcolepsy.
Wow. Never thought that was a sentence I would type.

Could also be sleep apnea -- either way, you need an overnight sleep study. That can tell you if you stop breathing and have micro-wakeups during your sleep. If so, that can explain sleepiness, tiredness, inability to focus, etc.
A day-study (awake ~2 hours, then a 20-minute or so sleep opportunity, repeated 4 times in a sleep lab) can tell if you go into REM sleep immediately after falling asleep. A key indicator of narcolepsy....
Either way, there are things that can help -- but don't put it off! :-) Hope this helps....

Maybe you're having health issues. Have you gone for all the usual tests... B anemia, iron anemia, thyroid, etc??
I did all that but it just turned out that I'm (a) lazy; (b) a nightowl living in a daytimer's world.
Good luck!
