Is there anything more glamorous than sequins? No. And really, is there a single good reason to keep a fabulously embellished piece tucked away, waiting for a special occasion? No, there isn’t. A touch of shimmer and shine never hurt anybody, is all I’m saying.
This outfit is just an example of how I’d work a dressy, sequined shell into a casual outfit. I love the drapey sweater over the sleek tank, paired with fitted jeans tucked into a harness boot. It’s an interesting mix of feminine glam with just a bit of a rocker edge. This outfit would be cute with a plain black tank but the sequins just take it up several notches.
Sequined tank, $80-90 from Jessica London
See Thru Soul dark wash skinny jean, $90 from Torrid
Callie Cardigan, $44 from b&lu
RSVP Rider boot with 18” calf, $99 from Zappos
B. Makowsky Greenwich tote, $252 from Zappos
Rose ring, $12 from Modcloth
My inner French woman insisted that I include a beautiful scent with this look so I tossed in the new Parisienne perfume from YSL. I’m hoping Santa takes the hint and brings me a bottle for Christmas.

I love the callie cardigan. It is such a versatile piece.
I hope Santa reads your blog! LOL

I am a sequins WHORE right now, so I'm so glad for this. I've been dying to acquire something shiny and cute - that tank is crazy expensive but good grief is cute.

This doesn't really emphasize the colors of the season, which happen to be black as well as bright pops of color. This seems to be even the case with make-up where, black is so popular for lip-color and eye-shadow is subtle with pops of color here and there. The same also goes for bags. I'm surprised I didn't see any animal print/python skin products; that's big now too.
