Fashion Bug rolled out some big changes over the weekend. If you haven't shopped with them online or in-store in a while, here's what's new:
- Lower prices: their site says they've lowered prices as much as $5-10 from last year's prices.
- One size range: most items are available in both misses and plus sizes, 6-30. There aren't two separate selections for each size range.
- One price: they’re not charging more for plus size items.
What do you think? Are these significant improvements, in your opinion? Will you be more likely to shop with Fashion Bug now? I really like the "one item, one price" angle but they're not really the first to do that, despite their claim. I don't know which was the first to offer one price for every size but QVC has offered that same pricing structure for as long as I’ve been shopping with them. QVC also carries most clothing items in XS – 3X so Fashion Bug isn’t really blazing any new trails there, either.
However, I’m guessing that Fashion Bug is the first brick and mortar store to offer that type of sizing/pricing and they do have affordable prices all year before sales, clearances, etc. Kudos to them for offering fair prices and a good range of sizes.

Actually Coldwater Creek does the same thing with the one price, continuous sizing thing. The only place they depart is in pant sizing, in part because the curves are different on plus sized pants... They generally carry all sizes in their brick and morter stores AND rack them all together.

I guess they haven't gotten around to the one price thing yet. I was just looking at a bathing suit and they had 23.99 for low sizes and 27.99 for 16 and up.

What I say is: "I love you Fashion Bug!"
Ooh, as soon as I have money they've had a dress there I've wanted for forever, I'm going to order it. Their prices haven't ever been too too bad, I just don't have a lot of dosh to throw around.

the fact that i can get a decent pair of jeans from them for $11 isn't bad at all :-)

Considering that Fashion Bug has gotten more customers in my local store thanks to their lower prices, it's a smart move to offer all their clothes in all sizes so now women of all sizes won't feel left out.

It's hard to find stuff now. I wear a 30, so it's really frustrating trying to find my size when there are twice as many racks as before. Plus, not everything goes up to a 30, so I'll spend several minutes sorting through a rack only to find out they stopped at 26.

Not the Fashion Bug in my area. The small sizes get really cute pieces, while the plus sizes are hideous and the jeans end up having unnecessary embellishments like rhinestone butterflies going down the leg. The quality is poor. Honestly, I find cuter/more durable things at K-Mart for the same price.

I stopped shopping at Fashion Bug quite a few years ago. I found the clothes cheaply made and overpriced. The sizes run small and the fashions are geared more towards 13 year olds than 30 year olds.

Fashion Bug's parent company, Charming Shoppes, also sold its credit card program last week. Considering that it has closed 10 percent of its FB and Lane Bryant stores in the past two years and has been laying people off like crazy at its credit bank, I'd say it's getting desperate.

Coldwater Creek has been doing same-price pricing on misses, women's and petites for several years. What would get me to shop at Fashion Bug would be better quality clothing.

I like the change a lot - it's nice to walk around the whole store instead of just one side. It was a smart move, treating everyone fairly in size AND style.

I think the concept is brilliant and way over do! Especially since women are often different sizes on top and bottom - going this route would really simplify shopping!

I like the clothing at Fashion Bug a lot, but I've had several pieces of jewelry fall apart after wearing once or twice. It's disappointing to find jewelry you really like just to have it fall apart later.

I am just SICK about the changes at Fashion Bug....I was just there today and wanted to cry. I am not able to find my cute tee shirts, print tops and some other favorite peices. When I asked the clerk she said they had done away with them...by the way I am a 3x // 28 size lady and this was my main place to buy clothes. I just dont know what i am going to do. I really am very upset about this and plan to call and try to talk to someone. Maybe if all of us upset people say something it will go back to the place I loved.

Have their been any changes with their credit program? I haven't noticed anything.

I too am sick about the Fashion Bug changes. It used to be my favorite store. I used to love Gitano and the other name brand lines, now it looks like a bunch of cheap stuff with no style. I hate sorting through all the sizes. Taking the junior line away now excludes my daughter, no more Bobby Jack. I thought I was at Wal-mart. I've spent hundreds of dollars in the past, guess I'll have to find a new place.
