I need your input!

Update: I've decided to keep everything to one blog but I'll keep this post here so you know what to expect. Thanks to everyone who commented, I really appreciate your input!

So here's the thing - I haven't been into buying clothes very much recently because I'm trying not to spend too much money and save my pennies. I think everyone is pretty much in that same boat. I do still look of course, I can't really help myself. I know that a lot of you out there really do enjoy this blog (thank you, thank you) so I don't ever want to stop writing about plus size fashion (really, never!).

Having said that, I have other things on my mind that I'd like to talk about, other than fashion. They are related to life as a fat woman, size acceptance, and more personal topics, too. I've been reluctant to include those thoughts here because this is, after all, primarily a fashion blog.

Having said all that, I'm wondering if I should start a separate blog and keep this one to just fashion or if I should say what the heck and just write whatever comes to mind, right here in one place. I know a lot of people get super annoyed when a blog goes off topic so I want to know what you think.

Would you rather:

- I keep this blog to just fashion and start a separate blog for the non-fashion topics or
- Write it all here and if you don't want to read my ramblings, you can skip to the next post.

I don't usually make decisions like this based on a democratic vote but I've been thinking about this for a long time and I'm torn as to which direction to go. My inclination is to just keep everything in one blog so perhaps I'm just looking for reassurance.

I say keep all to one blog. You're a fantastic writer and get straight to the point with what you say. Also I'd love to hear about these topics and see the comments of others on them.

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, but I'd tend to agree with Cry for one important reason. I too often see otherwise high quality bloggers fall into a pattern of (apparently) feeling obligated to post entries regularly, whether or not the subject matter warrants it. And a watered down message tends to drive the reader with limited time away. Keeping it all together would likely not only aid consision and cut the feeling of obligation for you, but may also better serve the intersection of fat fashion, politics, social issues, and activism.

You're already providing a valuable service to deal-hungry fatshionistas, so I'm looking forward to hearing what else you have to say. And if I've not said it before (probably haven't), thank you. You've saved me buttloads of money and hipped me to countless tasty finds.

One blog! You mentioned a long time ago that you'd planned to take this blog in a slightly different direction, and I've been wondering if you'd changed your mind. I'm glad to see you're still thinking about it. Don't get me wrong -- I love this blog as is, but I really like hearing what you've got to say about topics that are a little meatier (haha).

I agree. Keep it all here. I became a fan a couple years ago when I stumbled upon a rather lengthy post about size in general. I have been back daily ever since. It's nice to know we're not alone out here.
