What's on your fall/winter shopping list?

I'm trying to be extra conscious of what I'm buying lately. I went shopping last weekend and only bought exactly what I was looking for - a pair of black flats, a brown cotton jacket, long sleeved layering tees, and a couple of sweaters. I'd also like to find a purple hobo bag but I can't find the exact one I want so I might have to let that one go. My want for a bag like that will probably dwindle before I find one.

I was actually more satisfied with a new hair cut than any of the other stuff I spent money on. My hair was out of control so I let the hair guy chop off at least six or seven inches. It feels great and looks awesome.

I am looking for lace up, flat soled boots that I can wear in the snow without sliding all over the place. I know I'll find them!

The brown coat is cute! I haven't noticed as many sales with LB lately, I have my eye on a few things but refuse to pay full price. I'm looking for a quilted hip-length winter coat that isn't too puffy and fits close to the body. I have a quilted coat from LB from a couple of years ago, but it's too big, I look like a giant marshmallow. I might try Lands' End. I also need to buy a couple of pairs of pants for work, I have to retire a couple. I hate shopping for pants.

That jacket is cute. I need plain knit tees for layering too. Brown boots and I need a cute winter coat. I've already gotten several jackets that should carry me through until it's bone-chill status. Oh, and skirts. I want a few more skirts and some cute colored tights.

Love your blog. And it's introduced me to some new places to shop (thank you!). I am in desperate need of new clothes this fall/winter (as well as a purple hobo bag - if I come across one I'll let you know!). I went to LB last weekend and was very surprised there were very few sales. One place I did find two cute, inexpensive shirts is JC Penney. I hadn't been in there since I was a kid. They also have a decent workout attire section for plus sizes.

I really want to get some black (or colored) tights. I really like the black tights Lane Bryant has right now http://www.lanebryant.com/pagebuilder/lane_bryant_product_page?pagesize=3&my_nav=&cat=&subcat=&item=1823905 (At the bottom of the page you can see honeycomb and an argyle pair). I would like to try the honeycomb or argyle, but I am afraid that they will make my already thick calves look even bigger. I also want to get some nice tops. I really like the clothes that come out in fall especially near x-mas.

Ok, LB doesn't even have their promotional coupons on now?! That's crazy. I was going to take the plunge and get the suede skirt that's on sale, but then couldn't find any coupons that worked. Bah!

Here's an LB code good through Nov 7. It's $25 off $75, $50 off $150, or $75 off $225. Enter code 050006915.

I just scored big at LB and earned a ton of realwoman dollars (earn through the end of Nov and redeem through the middle of Dec). I try to keep my big LB shopping sprees to when you can earn or redeem them. I got $230 worth of stuff for $160 and earned 5 rd's.
I had found an adorable and seasonable black brocade jacket there that I had been pining for (brocade pieces are in all the magazines for this fall), but I have to return it because the raglan shoulder seams make me look too much like Brett Favre :(
I did find a nice fancy holiday blazer, a couple of really cute work shirts, and some clearance nightclub tops for like, $6 each. Boo yah.
Still looking for an awesome pair of wide-calf suede flat boots to wear with leggings and THIS dress from silhouettes.

Ok don't laugh but check QVC.com for purses. I am a purse freak and snob!! I really have come to think the best purse for the style, quality, price, variety, well just everything is Maxx New York. They have lots of beautiful purple purses this season for really good prices , lots with matching key chain(high quality&classy lookig). Check Qvc!

kas: avenue has some plain and textured tights on sale right now - $5 a pair. i just bought 2 pair - one plain black and one textured black that are footless. i haven't tried them yet but the size chart says they should fit me.

maybe try etsy.com for a purple hobo bag? you can look up stuff with specific search words and a lot of teh stuff on there is amazingly great.

I'm going to be buying a chic new jacket and jeans to go with the gorgeous diamond necklace from www.idonowidont.com my hubby bought me for our 10th anniversary. So I want to look like a fashion model when I go out with my girlfriends!

Personally, I am looking for boots this year. I started working out again a LOT this year, and as a result, I have also started developing heel spurs. So I am looking for a pair of black and a pair of chocolate brown boots that come over my (not particularly small) calves. And they have to be flats. THAT seems to be the stopper right now.

gryph - try torrid.com - they have large calf boots for pretty cheap and i noticed a couple of flat styles when i was checking them last -if you are feeling flush duo boots has some great boots as well!
