... and you lose some.
The screenshot is from the main page of the CNN website. I was all excited that a piece about Joy Nash had made the front page and then my eyes scrolled down and saw that headline. Sometimes, you just have to laugh... so that you don't CRY.
For an extra dose of laughing through the tears fun, there's a post about the woman who "lost 110 pounds! and now her husband loves her again!" on Big Fat Deal here and The-F-word has a post about it here.
See, one of the benefits of starting out big is that you know your partner loves your fat ass. He won't be all surprised when you start to put on weight after having a kid or something crazy like that. Lord help us all if men start intentionally marrying fat women. Where will all the "my husband loves my new body!" stories go?
It'll be a sad day.

I love the line about men intentionally marrying fat women. I'm a little skinny guy. It seems to me that little skinny guys tend to marry big women. I intend to! My fiance is 5"10, and 301lb and she is the HOTTEST woman I have ever been with. I love her curves, so feminine. But the problem is she has NO self esteem and it sucks. She thinks that fat = ugly, which is totally untrue. I have been told she is beautiful by a lot of people, but she won't believe them or me. One of them was another fat girl who has awesome self-esteem...she knows she's hot and dresses slutty and loves to brag about all the men she gets to drool over her. This woman admitted to me that my fiance is even hotter than her! Yet my girl thinks she's ugly and obsesses over weight. Our society sucks when it can destroy the self-esteem of a beautiful and sweet woman like that.

Three cheers for men who marry fat women! I got one of those, and it *RULES*. Now, granted, my guy is a big 'un too, but time has borne out that he prefers the curve. And I would be the first one to cheer if all those "new body" stories just disappeared.

My husband married me as a fat chick, and 7 years later, still loves me as a fat chick! I don't know what it is, but hey, who am I to question it! :-)
