I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever ordered from mejeans? You send them your measurements and style choices and they make the jeans to your specifications. I've seen a store like this featured on "What Not to Wear," which leads me to believe that it's a brilliant concept.
Honestly, I'm sick of jeans that don't fit correctly! I do admit that I don't have a very "standard" body shape but it's not like I have a third leg or something. My main problem is with the inseam situation. I'm average in height but I have short legs, so every pair of jeans I own are either slightly too long or a little too short. Plus, I am a pear, so my hips are wider in proportion to my waist. This all adds up to jeans easily making me look like a (curvy, adorable) tree stump.
Long story short, I'd be willing to spend more on jeans if they fit me perfectly. Even my favorite pair right now sag off my butt after I've worn them for a couple of hours. Maybe having a pair custom made isn't a bad idea?

This looks pretty cool. Have you tried Target's online custom clothing service? They offer women's jeans and chinos. When I got my jeans, they were pretty nice. It's hard being a plus size and needing a 34" inseam.

i was so excited when i saw the target link above (mainly because of the cheapness)... until i realized all their measurements stop long before i do. seriously, what's the point of customized jeans if they still won't make them in larger sizes?

I ordered jeans from mejeans - I have to say, pretty impressive. They took a little longer than their posted delivery time, but it was right during the holidays as well, so it's understandable. They let me know everything that was going on with my order so the customer service was excellent.
The end result? Just as they promised - Jeans that fit me right, and they look great (I'm calling myself a designer now!). Is it nirvana? Not quite sure, but it sure beats off the rack and those dressing room struggles. I'm sure I'll be ordering again. Well worth it!

Janet how long was your wait for mejeans? I've had an order in for nearly 8 weeks now. I cannot believe the last memo 2 weeks ago said they were washing them prior to shipment. Seems kind'a long for a wash. I'm still awaiting the shipment memo. Maybe 10 weeks? Arrrgh!!!

BEWARE OF MEJEANS!
I ordered a pair of custom made jeans from me Jeans on 01-Dec-05 with a timeframe given of 2-4 weeks maximum. Today is 01-Feb-06 and I still have not received my jeans. "PJ" has corresponded with me several times and assured me they were being washed on 10-Jan-06, but three weeks later, still no jeans. I cancelled my order and strongly recommend you do not use this companay.

Sherri, I waited about 5 or 6 weeks. I've already placed another order! I had a message about washing as well, but I've come to understand that washing has to do with "stone" washing, etc. - Not with Tide at home! :)

My experiences are the same as Sherri's and Dean's - now they've stopped responding to my inquiries. Dean, How did you cancel your order? I also ordered on December 1 and this week told them to refund my money, as they were WAY beyond the promised deadline, but I haven't had a response to that emai.

I wanted to post an update. I had a phone call from PJ on Thursday. It was an interesting and a pleasant discussion that included an explanation about what occurred with their production situation. The conclusion was that PJ offered to refund my money, but I said that, if he could deliver my jeans in the very near future, I'd settle for a partial refund (due to long delay). He followed-up with a factory rep and today I have a FedEx tracking number. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My jeans arrived on February 21. The denim feels great and the length is good, but they don't fit right in the waist. I'm still communicating with PJ, who says he'll work to make this right.

Has anyone realized yet that Janet is from MeJeans.com? I was doing research on customization and couldn't believe the blatant plug from mejeans. It is all about the software, and to this day, IC3D is the only company that manufactured true made-to-measure jeans, unfortunately they didn't have enough manufacturing capacity to keep up with demand.
