About the Pretty Pear

The Pretty Pear is a plus size lifestyle blog. This means that in addition to talking about clothes, I talk about everything that goes along with being a plus size woman. I have no shame, so no topic is off limits! I believe that women of size are beautiful and deserve beautiful clothing, shoes, and accessories just as much as "average" sized women.

I started this blog because I found myself collecting links to plus size retailers and needed a good outlet for sharing what I've found, and my thoughts and opinions on style and self-image. Being plus sized does limit what's available to us but that doesn't mean we should settle for poorly made, unflattering, ugly clothes.

Disclosures
All of the clothing I feature is available to at least a size 3X or 22/24 but I make every attempt to feature clothes above that size as well. Most of the shoes featured come in wide widths, or I know them to run wide. I don't generally recommend beauty products that I haven't tried myself.

Many of the links and all of the banners on my blog are associated with affiliate programs. This means that if you click through the link and make a purchase, I'll get a little money in return. This blog is a hobby so I don't expect to make a ton of money, but a little here and there is nice. I appreciate your support!

The opinions here are my own. I'm not directly affiliated with any particular retailer and I try to be as objective as possible in my recommendations and reviews.

Comment Policy
I welcome your comments and love receiving feedback from readers. I do, however, reserve the right to delete any comment I believe to be harassing or overtly negative in nature. Please be respectful of me and other readers in your comments.

I'm also not a fan of leaving comments just to have a link back to your own website so please be aware that your comment may be deleted in this case. I know spam when I see it, so don't try to be clever. If you'd like a link on my site, use the contact page and ask me. This is much more polite!
